Salt is a necessary nutrient of the human body. Since our body can’t make salt, it relies on the intake of salt through our food.

Table the Table Salt
Although salt is a necessary part of our diet, research is showing that what we know as regular table salt has hidden, and possible harmful effects. Sodium chloride, common table salt, is chemically cleaned. The salt industry is successful in convincing us that there are health advantages to adding potentially toxic iodine and fluoride to salt. The body actually sees this sodium chloride as foreign and spends a lot of energy trying to metabolize it. In addition, your table salt very often contains potentially dangerous preservatives. Calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, and aluminum hydroxide are often added to improve table salt’s ability to pour. Aluminum is a light alloy that deposits into your brain – that could possibly cause Alzheimer’s disease.
Spices Gluten Free Table salt is dried at more than 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit, which changes the natural occurring structure of salt, isolating the salt’s crystals from one another. Additionally, this salt is found in processed foods so your body gets more than it can dispose of in a natural, healthy way. For each gram of table salt the body cannot process, the body will use over twenty times the amount of cellular water in attempt to neutralize the sodium chloride. This water is taken from other cells, which can lead to:
- Water retention
- Cellulite
- Rheumatism
- Arthritis
- Gout
- High blood pressure
- Inflammation of tissues
- Kidney and gallbladder stones
So What About “Sea Salt”?
Sea salt has recently gotten much press as a more natural alternative to table salt, which it is. Except, nowadays, in attempts to keep up with consumer demand, sea salt is also treated with some of the processes similar to table salt. Think about it: salt is not naturally white.
The Salt-ernative
Himalayan Mineral Salt also referred to as the "Pink Salt" is far superior to traditional, iodized, common table salt. It is a naturally occurring salt, which has spent over 250 million years maturing, untouched by pollutants or toxins common in even ocean or sea salts.
Aesthetically, it is uniquely beautiful, with a pinkish or light reddish tint. Under a microscope, the crystals form perfect geometric patterns. It will look great on your table in a clear salt shaker. No other salt compares when it comes to purity and mineral content. Himalayan Mineral Salt contains the same 84 natural elements and minerals found in the human body. Its minerals are in a form tiny enough for our cells to easily absorb them.
